How To Use 1 Simple Trick to Make Your Website Faster

One of the most effective ways to make a website load faster is to “crunch” the images. But there’s a right way and a wrong way.

There are 2 parts to doing this the right way.

You need to resize your images smaller. Using them straight out of the camera or your phone is going to lead to disaster and a slow website. Don’t do that.

Crunching it further using a tool made for image-crunching.

This post is about the second step.

I use TinyPNG and it works great for both PNG images and JPEG images. (JPEG images are most likely the type you’re using if you took the photo yourself. PNG is normally for logos, etc.)

Anyway, here’s what you do:

  • Go to
  • Drag and drop your images into the upload box.
  • Wait a few secs.
  • Download your optimized images.

Very quick and easy. And just like that, you can save anywhere from 30% to 90% of the time it takes to load your website, just by crunching your images. (And the difference is usually invisible to the eye.)

Doing it one-by-one can take ages but the result is worth it. Each extra second your page takes to load is chunk of visitors lost forever.

But if you don’t have time to do this kind of stuff yourself, then you can hire me and my team for a “Site Speed-Up”. We’ve got ways to batch-process your images, tweak your site code and more to speed up your website.

If you’re worried you could be losing sales because of a slow website, send me an email. I’ll give you the skinny on what’s wrong and let you know how we can help.
